The participants will explore forms of the ephemeral using acoustic and rhythmic structures. For the poesiefestival berlin, the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin has initiated a project combining poetry with electronic music. Each of the composers and sound artists has chosen one poet whose language fascinates him. They will work with the poets on melodic hybrids of poetry and music in a workshop lasting several months. These researchers into apparent and abstract forms will come together on stage in pairs to present their work.
With “e.poesie”, the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin is, for the second time within the framework of the poesiefestival berlin, bringing together composers and contemporary poetry. Andreas Rochholl from the Contemporary Opera Berlin is curator for the project.
In collaboration with the Zeitgenössische Oper Berlin
