Vocations – open space 2024 organises four evenings of radically open transdisciplinary experiments and collaborations at the interface between music, sound and poetry at silent green Kulturquartier’s Kuppelhalle (29.5. / 8.7. / 9.10. / 3.12.). As a meeting place for Berlin’s contemporary poetry and music scenes, Vocations offers an open space to up to twenty artists to perform at any one time, combining a wide variety of musical and vocal practices based on or rooted in poetry.
Vocations - open space was conceived by the Haus für Poesie and is curated by a team (Timo Berger, Tomás Cohen, Lena Hintze, Katharina Schultens) and on the basis of recommendations from the cooperation partner network and two Open Calls.
Vocations – open space is an event series organised by Haus für Poesie in cooperation with Junge Akademie, Akademie der Künste, silent green Kulturquartier, the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD and Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf and is funded by Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt of the state of Berlin in the framework of Spartenoffene Förderung.
