Schoolchildren translate poems. Just like in the reVERSible translation workshop, students at the German-French schools each take a German and a French poems and translate it into the other language. As part of the poesiefestival berlin the young translators will be visited by a pair of poets from the reVERSible workshop. Schoolchildren and poets will talk about poetry and how it can be translated.

After the showing there will be a discussion with the film’s director, Christoph Rüter, and writer Katja Lange-Müller, moderated by Thomas Wild. Christoph Rüter’s documentary illuminates the extraordinary life story of the “uncomfortable” Thomas Brasch, philosopher, poet and film-maker. In this personal obituary of the humorous border-hopping poet, Rüter also presents a picture of the history of divided Germany.
