6. ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival - Competition
Competition 2012
870 films have been entered for the 6th ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival from 63 countries. The programme commission has nominated 30 of them for the competition.
As in previous years, the three prizes »ZEBRA Prize for the Best Poetry Film«, donated by the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin, the »Goethe Film Prize«, donated by the Goethe Institute, and the »Ritter Sport Film Prize«, donated by Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG, are to be awarded by the international fiveperson jury. The main prizes have a total value of € 10,000. Films of no longer than 15 minutes duration relating to a poem aesthetically or in their form or content and produced after 1 January 2009 were eligible for entry.
The winners in three new categories, »Best Debut Film«, »Best Film for Tolerance« and »Best Poetry Performance on Film«, will also be awarded prizes
totalling € 5000 in value. The programme commission have nominated three films in each category.
