A poetic unfolding of the question of the relationship between closeness and violence under the conditions of the present and the poem. What happens close to us can no longer be ignored. But even far away nobody is safe. Does salvation lie in distance or in coming ever closer? It is a matter of the dialectics of protection and unprotectedness and of the question as to whether closeness is a matter of distance.
