ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival 2014 - the Programme
This year, the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival once again takes children and youth on poetic expeditions. They don’t just award their own film prize, but will also once again work on a film themselves. The poetry film workshop for students in class level 4–6 takes place in the run-up to the festival. After a writing workshop, an animated film of the self-composed poems is created under instruction from media educators. For the first time this year there will be a poetry film programme for families on the weekend, in which the workshop film will also be screened. The festival is also offering professional development for teachers again. Accompanied by media educators, instructors and filmmakers, participants can try out ways of introducing poetry films to the classroom in order to promote poetry.
ZEBRINO is able to take place thanks to the kind support of the Deutscher Literaturfonds e. V.
What is a poetry film? How does it occur to someone to shoot a poem-film? What is a poem anyway? ZEBRINO shows poems as films in all colours and styles for children from 8–12 years, making the genre of poetry films accessible to them.
ZEBRINO Family Programme
New this year, the ZEBRINO Family Program screens poems as films in all colours and styles. Cinemagoers travel to Norway, Wales and Hungary, encounter Portuguese ships, mothers with extraordinary professions, and the great French poet Jacques Prévert.
