Uetz, Christian (*1963, Switzerland) studied philosophy, comparative literature and ancient Greek in Zurich. Uetz’s work is in the field of experimental and spoken poetry and he has been awarded numerous prizes, including in 1999 the 3sat Prize in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition and in 2005 the Promotion Prize of the German Business Cultural Circle in Berlin and the Thurgau Culture Prize. "You have to experience him, this language obsessed poet,” wrote Karl-Heinz-Ott in the Neuer Zürcher Zeitung newspaper. “Whoever has seen one of Christian Uetz’s celebrated readings, given from memory, will know what Nietzsche meant by his dictum that one has to understand how to be able to dance with language.”
