ZEBRA Poetry Film Club special on The Short Film Day
Hosted by Alexander Gumz (poet, Berlin) | Thomas Zandegiacomo Del Bel (artistic director ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival)
On the occasion of The Short Film Day, the Haus für Poesie will be showing the best films of the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festivals which discuss the possible and the impossible. What if the sinister was lying in wait in front of our door? Would we find it attracting or abhorrent? The films take the viewer into surreal worlds, out of the everyday and into eerie and absurd images.
With poems by Paul Bogaert, Billy Collins, Andres Ehin, J. K. Ihalainen, Rainer Maria Rilke and Tuija Välipakka among others.
The Short Film Day has been taking place all over Germany since 2012. It was inspired by the French version Le Jour Le Plus Court that premiered in 2011. Today, The Short Film Day is celebrated in many other countries.
