This year we are using the festival reading not just to bring filmmakers and poets closer. With www.lyrikline.org, we are presenting an interactive archive, which serves as a treasure trove for all coming film projects, as it gathers together the original voices of international, contemporary poets from across the world and makes them available online in text, audio and currently in over 12,500 translations. Together with the festival audience and the poets who will read on this evening, we want to celebrate a lyrikline milestone: the 1000th poet, who will be published on the website during this event.
The poems of all the readers are not just able to be heard, but have also been made into festival films and can be watched and heard now or in the future on www.lyrikline.org.
With translations of the poems into German and English.
