17th poesiefestival berlin: The Starting Highlights
The 17th poesiefestival berlin: Kein schöner Land [No Finer land] kicks off on 3 June 2016. For nine days 150 poets and artists from 37 countries will be bringing their poetry to the stage and giving their perspectives on a world that is out of joint. We want to let you know here about some of the highlights you can look forward to in the first three days:
After the opening Weltklang reading, the festival will be turning to the African continent and Nigeria: In the Heart of the Earth on 4 June. Another highlight is the new staging of the Winter Journey on 5 June confronted with texts by Heiner Müller.
