POESIEGESPRÄCH: Mihret Kebede – Intimate exile

Event-Picture: POESIEGESPRÄCH: Mihret Kebede – Intimate exile

Lection & Talk

With Mihret Kebede, author Ethiopia and Rike Scheffler, author and translator Germany

Mihret Kebede is not only a poet, performer, and visual artist – she also organizes festivals and co-founded Tobiya Poetic Jazz, the artist collective Netsa Art Village, and the video art festival Addis. Her poetry is marked by multidirectional thought and action, transcending the limits of what is individually said in a grippingly political way. Kebede will talk to Rike Scheffler about her work.

The event will be interpreted English-to-German.

Project leaders: Alexander Gumz, Matthias Kniep

The event is part of the poesiefestival berlin: poesiefestival.org

The poesiefestival berlin is a project of the Haus für Poesie in cooperation with the Akademie der Künste, with support from the Hauptstadtkulturfonds.
