Lyrikline is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, together with the partners from different countries, who contribute to the large online-archive for international poetry. In October, the Catalan partner organization Institut Ramon Llull brings music and poetry from Catalonia to Berlin and invites us to a journey of discovery of the Catalonian poetry of the past 100 years.

Reading and concert with Maria Cabrera poet, Barcelona and the band El pèsol feréstec

The band El pèsol feréstec (The wild pea) was founded in 2003 and combines pop, rock and folk music with poems of classic and current Catalonian authors. The poet Maria Cabrera (born 1983 in Girona) is the band's  frontwoman. She recites the texts with a deep distinctive voice. The latest of her three printed volumes of poetry La ciutat cansada (Editorial Proa 2017) has been awarded with the Charles Riba price, the most important poetry award of Catalonia.

The texts are available in the German respectively English translation.

The event is a cooperation of the Haus für Poesie and the Institut Ramon Llull.
