Discussing this will be Michael Roes writer and film maker, Berlin Reynold Reynolds film maker, New York Tom Konyves poet and film maker and lecturer at the University of Fraser Valley, Canada Antje Quast art historian, Cologne moderated by: Martina Pfeiler cultural scientist at the TU Dortmund.
A discussion on the definition of the poetry film genres and how it can be differentiated from other audio-visual forms. A simultaneous interpreting service will be offered (German/English).

33 film makers from 13 countries have responded to the call of the Literaturwerkstatt and have made films based on the poem [meine heimat] by Ulrike Almut Sandig. We are presenting 13 of them and talking to the film makers and the poet about their work.

Just under two hundred years ago Goethe replied in his ‘West-East Divan’ to the Persian poet Hafez. Artists from around the world are now continuing this dialogue in diwans.org on the Internet and cutting right across all art forms. The creators will be presenting their participative project in a multi-screen performance and showing video works that have already been created.
