3. Purposes of data processing by the controller and third parties
We process your personal data only for the purposes stated in this data privacy statement. Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for any other purposes than those stated here. We only transmit your personal data to third parties if
- you have given your express consent,
- processing is necessary for carrying out a contract with you,
- processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

The purpose for which your data are processed is to provide information about the activities of the Haus für Poesie including the projects poesiefestival berlin, lyrikline, ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival and open mike.
4. Definitions
The data privacy statement of Literaturbrücke Berlin e. V and eurobylon e.V. uses the definitions used by the issuer of European Directive and Regulations when issuing the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our data privacy statement is meant to be easy to read and understand for both the public and our customers and business partners. To guarantee this we would first like to explain the definitions being used.
The definitions we use in this data privacy statement include the following:

‘recipient’ means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients.
‘third party’ means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
‘consent’ of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.
5. Erasure and/or blocking of data
We hold to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. This means that we store your personal data for only as long as is necessary for achieving the purposes stated here or as required by the varied storage periods provided for by the legislator. Once the respective purpose has ended or these periods have expired the data in question are routinely blocked or erased in compliance with statutory provisions.
6. Collection of general information when you visit our website
When you access our website, information of a general nature is collected automatically using a cookie (see next section 7.). 9. Embedded YouTube videos and plug-ins
We embed YouTube videos on some of our web pages. The operator of the relevant plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection is created with the YouTube servers. This tells YouTube which sites you are visiting. When you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can attribute your surfing activity to you personally. You can prevent this by first logging out of your YouTube account.
When a YouTube video is started, the provider places cookies which collect information about user behaviour.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you can expect to be free of such cookies when you watch YouTube videos. However, YouTube places non-personal user information in other cookies as well. If you wish to prevent this, you will have to block the installation of cookies in your browser.

10. Vimeo
Our website uses plug-ins of the video portal Vimeo. Provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
When you visit one of our pages which has a Vimeo plug-in, a connection is created to the Vimeo servers. This tells Vimeo which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address, even if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.
If you are logged into your Vimeo account, you enable Vimeo to attribute your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You may prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.
11. Use of Matomo
This website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an Open Source software for the statistical analysis of online visits. Matomo uses cookies, text files which are installed on your computer to enable analysis of your use of the website.
The information on your use of the website generated by the cookie is stored on a server in Germany.
