Moderation: Daniel Bayerstorfer (translator, Munich)
Poets Liao Yiwu, Lü Yue, Han Bo and Jiang Tao will be showing how the language of poetry and critical reflection on the Chinese present fit together; in their texts social criticism is expressed with the methods of humour, alienation and collaging of journalistic materials and literary elements. Speaking in poetry thus opens a space for freedom of opinion which manages without crude anti propaganda and is therefore strong.
The texts being read are available in German translation.
