With Axel Goodbody (expert in ecological literature, UK), Christoph Rosol (researcher at the MPI for the History of Science, Berlin), Daniela Seel (poet and publisher, Berlin) Moderation: Daniel Falb (poet, Berlin)
The Anthropocene theory says that the earth today has entered a new geological age in which humans have lost their ecological exterior and become global geological actors. Their actions will be readable as a special signature in the strata of the future. How does poetry react to this geological paradigm of the present? And what is the relationship between poetry in the Anthropocene and the ecological poetry of the 20th Century? The poets’ evening brings together experts from various disciplines to reflect together in poetry readings and discussions on poetics in the Anthropocene.
