Performance: Speech and Doublespeech
As a complement to the exhibition, a performance (specially prepared for the poesiefestival berlin) of new ways of reciting Kling’s and Pastior’s texts will be presented. Students from the School of Dramatic Arts Ernst Busch and from the Institute for Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, went on a reconnaissance trip to Thomas Klings “Manhattan Mundraum” and Oskar Pastior’s texts. They offer their interpretation of how handwriting can be heard.
Klings "Manhattan Mundraum" is performed by: Malte Abraham, Sonja Beran, Gunda Kinzl, Mathias Kropfitsch, Gianna Virginia, Rick Reuther, Frank Ruf, Lena Ures, Johanna Wieser. Florian Donath presents variations of poems by Oskar Pastior.
