International Partner Meeting for Lyrikline

The online portal Lyrikline was founded by the Literaturwerkstatt in 1999, with the aim of gathering together the poets of our time, in their original voices, for a reading on the internet that is always available. Today almost 1,000 poets with soon to be 9,000 poems can be heard and read in over 60 languages on the website – from Brecht to Yeats, from Noteboom to Tranströmer. More than 12,000 translations assist in understanding. Listen to the poet!

This is all possible thanks to the international network of partners from over 40 countries, who come together to work on this project.

As part of the poesiefestival berlin the partners come together annually for a working meeting. This year there are participants from Australia, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Catalonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Belarus and representatives from the initiative Literature Across Frontiers.

Kindly supported by: The Mayor of Berlin, Senate’s Chancellery – Cultural Affairs, The Embassy of the Principality of Lichtenstein in Berlin

Project Management: Juliane Otto, Heiko Strunk
