Poesie2 – an interactive installation with poetry

In this game, coloured squares represent the letters of the German alphabet. Each player can place these squares together in rows and make a poem out of coloured rectangles. In this way, a poem of coloured surfaces is created, which can then be “read” by audience members and visitors to the Academy of the Arts with the aid of a letter-colour key.

Children from Berlin primary schools can learn about poetry by staging it. With theatre educationalist and director Klaus Kowatsch they will be able to read and interpret poetry by Christian Morgenstern. In 90 minutes working in groups they will develop playlets based on poems, which they will then perform live.
