Bradien

Bradien (c) Balbini

Bradien was founded as an instrumental formation in 2005 and draw their influences from pop music and soundtracks, as well as from Dub and World Music. As well as many albums and tapes they have released remixes and compositions for exhibitions and films. Bradien have collaborated with Bill Wells, John Giorno, Lydia Lunch, Arnaldo Antunes and Nora Gomringer among others. The musicians in Bradien are currently Pope, Balbini and Matías Rossi.

The poet Edurad Escoffet and the three-person instrumental Band Bradien from Catalonia started to work together in 2009. They already released an album, Pols (Spark, Barcelona, 2012) and they are about to release their second album, Escala, produced by German electronic music Stefan Schneider (member of To Rococo Rot, Mapstation and Kreidler, as well as collaborator of Hans-Joachim Roedelius). They performed in music and poetry festivals as well as art centres, such as Sonar Festival (Barcelona) and Yuxtaposiciones (La Casa Encendida, Madrid), Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid) and MACBA (Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum).
