Online on Facebook, YouTube, #kanalfuerpoesie & rewritingthefuture.org

To coincide with the decentralised and communally organised Re:Writing the Future Festival, the Haus für Poesie is presenting some impressive films in which film makers and poets explore their old and new homelands and perhaps discover new ones. In their films and poems about flight and expulsion, they hone the collective consciousness and provide urgent food for thought. The featured guest is the film maker Ebele Okoye.

The poems for the poetry films shown in the programme are by W. H. Auden, Jan Baeke, Mahmoud Darwish, Jazra Khaleed, Björn Kuhligk, D. J. Opperman and Ulrike Almut Sandig.

In co-operation with Re:Writing the Future Festival

Re:Writing the Future is about making the plurality of artistic work that defines European societies, especially Germany, visible. The diverse origins and backgrounds of the artists are seen not as something different but as a foundation we want and have to build on when we take on the future. In this sense, an eye for artistic diversity is also an eye for the Re:Writing of the Future that is happening now.
