What value does the European Union have for the countries adjoining it, and will the consequences of its possible collapse be? In view of the current situation within the EU – Brexit, right-wing populism and isolationist moves by nation states – the former idea of union, community and equality seems to be dissolving. 22 writers from countries adjoining the EU have attempted to come to grips with Europe and the European ideal in poetry. Five of them will be talking about their ideas on this topic, their writing and their poetic vision.
English-German interpreting will be available for this event.
Project leaders: Isabel Ferrin-Aguirre | Douraid Rahhal
