Serdecznie zapraszamy and a warm welcome! Młodziez pisze wiersze / Youth is writing poems is a transboundary literature contest throughout Europe for young Polish speakers regardless if they are Polish natives or not. The winners from seven cities in Europe present their texts, the audience awaits an evening with readings, music, talks and Polish culinary specialties.

Altogether 192 pupils from Germany, Poland, Danmark, Luxembourg and Iceland submitted their poems in Polish as well as translations of Polish and German poems. A 13-headed German-Polish jury (among them Dorota Danielewicz, Łukasz Szopa and Urszula Czerska) choose the winners. The contest is organized by the Berlin based association Os´wiata (association of Polish schools) und POLin Polnische Frauen in Wirtschaft und Kultur e.V. (association of Polish women in economy and culture).

The VII. International Polish Literature Writing Contest Młodzież pisze wiersze / Youth is writing poems was made possible due to the financial support by the Commissioner of the Federal Government for Culture and Media, the embassy of the republic of Poland and private sponsors.

A booklet with the texts will be available. The event language is Polish.
