Film

The best poetry films from Germany. More than 500 entries have been submitted for the 2019 ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival. The programme commission has nominated 20 of them for the Germany-wide competition. This year’s three-person international jury will be awarding the ZEBRA Prize for the Best Poetry Film, donated by the Haus für Poesie, the Goethe Film Prize, donated by the Goethe Institute, the Prize for the Best Film for Tolerance, donated by the German Foreign Ministry and the Ritter Sport Film Prize donated by Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG.

The programme Common Values is a confrontation with foreign and past cultures. Religions, identities, values and cultures are questioned, rediscovered and redefined. A cinematic confrontation with the familiar and the unknown.

The poems are available in German.
